  • Momentum

    May 12th, 2015

“If an object is in motion, then it has momentum.”- “The Physics Classroom”

Motion is movement in a particular direction. When an individual acts on objectives set for him or herself, they are then operating in the field of motion. The greater the motion the more momentum

Success is accelerated with directed momentum.

    What is Momentum?

Some refer to momentum as mojo. As you probably have heard it proclaimed before, look at me I got my mojo back.

Momentum is ever-increasing or gained energy through constant motion.

According to the Physics Classroom ” Momentum depends on two variables, how much stuff is moving, and how fast the stuff is moving.”

    Building momentum.

Beyond acting (taking a step) how does one gain momentum.

Check your shoulders! Check your backpack!

Motion becomes easier when you are less burdened. Trying to pick up speed with a mountainous load is fighting an uphill battle. You will tire quickly. If the cumbersome load doesn’t stop your progress the journey will be so laborious you will want to stop.

    So You must unpack first

What can I possibly be carrying?

    Baggage (burdens)

Baggage are those things which burden us. Fundamentally you must get rid of those things which bog you down.

What else can I do to increase my momentum?

Sharpen your field of vision. Find a target and focus your energy into that target. Remember one must clearly see the destination before racing towards it. Setting a trek for just anywhere, will have you expending energy with an aimless outcome. Either you will end up somewhere you don’t want to be or the same place you started.

As one so eloquently put it

“A student of everything is master of nothing”

Those are two very essential factors of increasing momentum lessening ones load and zeroing in.

    Then you must move!

“You got to move it, move it.”

Science reminds us that an object at rest can never create motion.

The energy and potential of a person who remains indecisive, stationary, or at rest is simply stored. Stored energy doesn’t produce any results.

    A Challenge for you!

Decide “I am going to do this!”

Then put aside all those things that will weigh you down

Plan what it is you are going to do.

    Commit to that plan

     Run the play

Put your face to the sun and your back against the wind don’t stop for anything. Keep moving even if your run turns to a walk, a trot, or a shuffle; move.

The more you work towards your goal the greater forces will come to help propel you toward achievement.

It may take you a little time to come into your stride. Continue to work the momentum you need to achieve will come

    • Invest the time
    • Give it some energy
    • Put your whole self into whatever you are doing.

Like all great runners once you reach your stride you will know it.

You will see things begin to happen around you.

Your dream will start to take shape.

Others around you will see the growth.

So what are you waiting for?

  • Nurturing

    May 9th, 2015

Nurturing is the demonstration of deep care for another that emanates from a place of pure love.  The disposition of a nurturers care comes with no guarantee of reciprocation.

A true nurturer lives a life of service.

Image result for Image quotes on mothers and nurture

To serve another is to do what is necessary to meet their needs, with a spirit of humbleness. A true nurturer  sees service and care for another as not only a duty, but a pleasure. To hold another in esteem, to choose to dedicate self and time to their care, is a privilege and a gift.

Nurturing is more than a gift it is a spirit of benevolence bestowed on a blessed few.

The spirit of a nurturer is one of goodness, patience, temperance, humbleness, meekness, and self-sacrifice.

It is a spirit of priceless virtue that  can be found in both male or female.

As appropriate, such are the first leaders, teachers, and advisers that many ever encounter. They are the mother’s and father’s.

Mother’s and father’s have been given the charge to nurture, care, and guide humanity. They are the ambassadors of change, as through them generations are born and shaped.

While this role has been passed to many by means of genetic and physical disposition, assuming the role of nurturer is not an indicator of the possession of a genuine nurturing spirit.

Blessed are those who have been born under the charge of the mother or father with a nurturing spirit.

The value of such is said to be beyond that of the most beautiful and exquisite rubies.

    To find such is invaluable.

Through such greatness is born, peace restored, love renewed, hope rejuvenated, and lives transformed.

    They are to be esteemed.

It is the selfless contribution of nurturers to the world, which ushers forth true achievement of mankind.

It is through the nurture of others that most have grown to become and achieve that which one could only dream. These are the true miracle workers.

Success and achievement comes in all forms.

Not all achievements are recognized with the same fanfare as others.

Some never receive the accolades for their success or a job well done.

There is no better achievement or success than to nurture another human life, guiding them to become that which blesses humanity with their gifts, skills, deeds, and  with the life they live.

That is the ultimate success, the nurture of nations.

  • Transformation

    May 9th, 2015

Image result for Image quotes on transformation

We change. This is one thing that we cannot get away from.

Change is gradual; a timely process.

Life occurs in stages and each progression requires a transition.

    It  seems to happen overnight.

Our lives  resembles that of the transition of a caterpillar to a butterfly.

Just as a caterpillar must successfully go through a stage of metamorphosis to become a beautiful butterfly, so must we navigate life, gracefully moving from one state of flux to another.

Image result for Image quotes on transformation

However, some wait for life to transform them. They refuse to change on their own, and fight violently against anything that will remove them from their current state. They have found comfort in their stasis. They are buffeted on every side by the torrential waves. There they stay on the shore waiting and watching as the waves  rush to crash against their shores. There they wait until there is no other option than to muster up  the courage to do what is necessary to survive.  But a life lived as such is never fulfilling. Such is a life full of fear. For some facing a known fear takes a little less courage than facing an unknown one. They have made peace with their misery, pain, and suffering. It is a lot easier to embrace the pain that comes along with standing still.

It is difficult Facing the unknown.

It is hard to step in to the great abyss, not knowing where your feet will land when you step out into the void.

Image result for Image quotes on transformationThose who desire a life of peace and fulfillment must learn to step out and catalyze that transformation. They must lead the charge in the growth process.

Image result for Image quotes on transformation

This is done through the renewing of one’s mind.

Image result for Image quotes on transformation

Change comes through the consistent renewal of the mind.

    This is a daily process.

Everyday make the choice to learn. Everyday make the choice to grow.

Growing to new states occurs through elevation of the mind from  current state  to a more evolved state. This can only be done by placing oneself in an informed state.  An increase in knowledge  brings about greater insight.  Use of knowledge and insight brings about inexplicable power and wisdom. As one gains wisdom one matures.

Maturity is a sign of growth; transformation. It is marked by a change in habits, behaviors,  and actions.

The more you know the more you grow.

Seek that which will grow you in the right direction.

We shape our transformation (direction of change) .

  • Neglect

    May 8th, 2015

Image result for Image quotes on the price of neglect

Neglect is the harbinger of death, the antithesis of life.

All things require nurture and care to grow to their full potential, whether it be the human form or talents and gifts.

What you do not take care to nourish and develop will atrophy.

Neglect has become an incurable illness amongst the masses. While some practice neglect as an act of willful ignorance and mindlessness, for others it is due to misplaced priorities and assumptive reasoning.

    Assumptions are deadly.

One way that people atrophy is making assumptions that to go along with the status quo is okay. Assuming that the status quo, moving along with the ebb in flow, is the way to growth is a sure path to failure.

Never assume that maintaining the status-quo is enough

The Status quo is a state of immobility; stagnation. Stagnation in all its varied forms is still neglect.

How is going along with the status quo neglectful?

Standing still does not exert energy, therefore there is no progress.

If you are filled with idleness you can never be filled with anything else.

A full pitcher cannot be re-filled without first being emptied.

Thus, we must empty and refill ourselves daily.

Fill ourselves with knowledge, positivism, and hope, this helps us to grow.

You must grow a little every day.

If you are not growing then you are dying.

For the most part, you are either moving forward or backward.

The world moves on. You must move with it.

The hefty price tag of neglect

Neglect brings about the impoverishment of mind, body, and of the spirit. It robs you of everything. As one remains idle, knowledge, talent, and resources slowly dissipate.

A muscle, which lacks exercise shrinks, so can the individual weakened by neglect. He or she is likened to a car, which sits in a parking lot, full of fuel, and idling away its precious energy stores.

To avoid this we must constantly build and that requires energy.

Thankfully, there is no shortage of energy.

    Energy is constantly being recycled.

But, you can only attract that which you put out.

To attract growth and gain you must put out effort so that the energy will be returned to you.

“For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away”  Matthew 25:29

What you do not use will be given to others who have the will and gumption to grow that which has been given. Don’t stop!

    Just keep moving

We don’t have all the answers. We don’t need all the answers to reach our full potential.

Image result for Image quotes on using the gifts given

    We just have to act.

We don’t know where our efforts will take us, that doesn’t matter.  We must continue to perfect our strides so that we live fulfilled lives.

Have a love affair with the life you have been given.

Image result for Image quotes on falling in love with your life

Cherish and adore that with which you have been blessed. Care for it, see it into its full development. Put your heart into everything you do. Exercise your potential, feed your dreams, spirit, and your mind. Embrace your gifts natural and adopted and never give up or let go. Remain faithful, always choosing to be you and use what you have been given to shape your life and the world. The grass is not greener on the other side, you simply have to water the grass you have been given.

  • Hunger

    May 7th, 2015

Image result for Image quote on hunger and success

Hunger is best defined as a an attitude of voraciousness. It is an all-consuming need to fill what is missing. Hunger is the incurable drive to succeed.

Hunger is a sign of passion.

In almost all cases hunger is the precursor to phenomenal success.

Those who hunger simply don’t quit, they push on until they succeed.

Those who are truly hungry cannot rest until they are satisfied.

There is nothing more haunting or painful than emptiness whether it be an empty stomach, spirit, mind, or dream. It creates in you a longing that consumes every part of you.

Make sure your hunger is not misplaced

Be careful that you hunger after those things which seek to build you up and not destroy you.

Image result for Image quote on being consumed by the wrong thing

    Hunger is a driving force!

Hunger can drive you in one of two directions; down the path of fulfillment or destruction.

The most powerful words ever spoken were written, “Those who hunger and thirst shall be filled”

More aptly “those who hunger and thirst after righteousness…” – Matthew 5:6

Righteousness being those things which are good, right, pure, and just.

Those things which fulfill our divine purpose.

Those who yearn for such will not merely be filled, but blessed.

However, misplaced, all-consuming hunger can cost you everything you are and are to become.

Channel that  yearning desire. Throw  all of yourself  into fulfilling your calling and your passion, but remain humble in spirit.
