We have entered a time and space of awakening or uncovering.
Our footsteps are heavier, our whispers are magnified, a light is being shined in places once cast in shadow.
People are being unmasked revealing who they truly are. There is nothing which can be hidden.
A Call to Do Something!
At the same time we are all being called to action.
Make a stand, take a side, do something! The time is now to demonstrate what you believe, the strength of your resolve. Test your mettle. Own your voice.
You must understand, your actions, and inaction are all significant.
But why Do I Need to Do Anything?
Even your silence speaks volumes, sometimes speaking louder than your words
Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it matters most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.
-Halle Selassie
Do Something
We all must do something.
We all must do our part.
And there is no time like the present.
Now is the time to shape the world and mold it into what we want it to be.

John F. Kennedy said it best in a 1963 commencement address he made to American University.
“We shall also do our part to build a world of peace where the weak are safe and the strong are just. We are not helpless before that task or hopeless of its success. Confident and unafraid, we must labor on–not towards a strategy of annihilation but towards a strategy of peace. Too many of us think it is impossible. Too many think it is unreal. But that is a dangerous, defeatist belief. We need not accept that view. Our problems are man-made; therefore, they can be solved by man. “
Our Charge to Do Something
We must do what is in our power to do from our sphere of influence. There are no small efforts.

One response to “Your Charge: Do Something”
“We must do what is in our power to do from our sphere of influence. There are no small efforts” spoken by John F. Kennedy. No truer words have ever been spoken but true to the mark many do not understand those small efforts. Some see them as inconsequential moments of reflection and do not recognize the contributions of these small efforts as enough. Many are making them and being cautious because they must overcome those values that have been drilled in them over a lifetime. It is interesting that many people only step upon the stage of action when something happens that have a direct bearing upon their lives. What we have experienced is just the first stage of a battle the real test is yet to come. When the dust of this skirmish has settled will we return to our perches of self morality or will we turn back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I do wish to be offensive but until we search our change our hearts deep down all we have done is put a crack in the wall. It is progress because after the 70s and 80s rolled by I wrote in a newspaper article that the wall has only been scratched but still stand tall. Today it must be forever broken down or all many of us will see in this lifetime is a glimpse of the promise land. Your call to do something is inspiring and thought provoking so let us all be about our Father’s business.
