Be Your Own Cheerleader

Everyone wants a cheerleader, a support system, someone that will push you through the toughest times.

Creating change and moving toward goal achievement is not an easy process.

Sometimes it takes a little more oomph than you feel you have.

Your energy reserves may be low. Your spirit is waxing and waning. You simply feel that you have done all you can.

All you really need is that one extra push to get you through the thick of it.

The fact is, there will not always be somewhere there to cheer you on.

There will not always be someone there to push you to move beyond mediocrity to greatness.

And sometimes it may seem that people are doing the very opposite. Rather than giving you a hand up they become the very obstacles that threaten to bring you down.

Those are the times when you have to apply your strongest effort. You have to be your own cheerleader. You have to remind yourself of your purpose, of  “why” the dream is so important to you.

But how?

During your most proactive, most energized, and focused moments create a self-talk journal whether it be on paper or audio. In that journal remind yourself of why you are doing what you are doing. Talk about who you are. Complement and encourage yourself.

When you begin to struggle to push forward read or play those journals back to yourself. Use them as a method of motivation.

Become your own cheerleader.
