There is always something to overcome.
Sometimes, days are plagued with exasperation
Intermingled with nights of exhaustion
Greeting the day is a nightmare
in hours of daylight you don’t know if you are here or there
Or If you are really going anywhere
You feel lost.
You feel Alone.
You feel Defeated.
Your un-uttered cries for help fall on deaf ears.

And you can’t wipe away the sting of tears.
Slowly rising,
threatening to drown you beneath
the briny downpour
You have grown weary in you well-doing.
Yet,
You don’t give up.
To give up is to give in.
You throw back your shoulders, shove down the pain
And you muster forth and do all you can to get back in the race again
That’s called grit.
When all the world is jeering
And the fires of life are searing
Everything is calling for you to quit
You Keep on going despite of it

Even still, often it seems,
Just when you get a second wind
pick up speed
gain momentum
seeming that you just might win
There it is, your “Achilles heel”.
“The wall”.

A strong and towering wall.
Here lies the ultimate test of your endurance, your faith, and your will.
After you have given your all, and everything in-between, you come face to face with just one more thing.
You are not alone
Everyone must one day face “the wall”.
Some will face several.
Many come across it in the most unlikely of places and the most uncertain of times.
Some run into it when everything seems sublime.
For others when it seems they’ve reached the end of the line.
No matter the time, the place, or your state, you will have a decision to make.
You will have to determine whether to scale the wall, break through the wall, or turn around.
What do you do?
At first glance the wall seems impenetrable; its height insurmountable. The width unsurpassable.
For some the encounter will lead them to believe that life is a cruel joke of which, somehow he or she has become the punch line.
But,
When this happens
When you start to feel the strain and pull of life.
When encountering the wall or any other insurmountable walls.
Don’t give up.
Stop
Sit down
Rest a while.
Clear your mind and breathe
Then
open your eyes and look around
Look at where you are
Look at where you’ve been
Remember how you got here
from where you used to be
Let it Remind you of who you are and what you can do when you believe
Then,
Remember those who are stuck behind their walls trying to get to where you have achieved.
For them, to get where you are is more than a dream.
Gather all the resolve you have left and get up off your knees
With the will that got you this far
Push even harder to succeed.
It will take every bit of energy you have within and just a bit more to push through, climb over, or make a path around.
It is possible.
That wall, it’s just a test.
What lies on the other side of that wall is worth everything you got.
“The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.”
― Molière
- What does not break you, will only make you stronger.

- It is in our weakest moments that we find our greatest strengths.
- When our backs are against the wall that we become the most resourceful.
- There can be no solutions without problems.
- We have to go through to get to our breakthrough
- Walking through walls, or through fire, test our mettle.
- Sometimes we must be purged from the dross within us so that we are capable of handling the award waiting on the other side of that wall.

When facing “the wall,” Always remember
Refinement requires fire.

These test are necessary.

“The Wall’s,” they are not for your detriment but to prepare you for excellence.
